A set of prompts to remind members of school staff the core 5 questions to ask when using restorative practice in a restorative conversation. These prompts are lanyard size so will fit in anyone’s lanyard. With schools moving increasingly towards a positive regard/restorative practice to behaviour in classrooms, it is key that staff are reminded of the core questions behind restorative conversations. When children have had an incident it is key that adults ask the right questions to understand why that child has made the choice that they have. That’s where this resource is helpful. This resource has 1 page which can be seen in the preview and outlines 5 key questions to ask a child after a behaviour incident during a restorative conversation. These are: What happened? What were you thinking at the time? What have you thought about since? Who has been affected by what you have done? In what way? What do you think you need to do to make things right? All of these questions are used to guide children into repairing what happened and ensuring that next time the same choice is not made. How I use this resource: This resource can be printed and shared with all members of staff in your school, from teachers to office staff.
